This Privacy Policy explains how Furbuz ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Furbuz app, website, and related services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information: Name, email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, and information you provide when contacting support.
- Pet and care information: Pet profiles, photos, species or breed, care logs, reminders, diet entries, measurements, notes, and documents you choose to add.
- Connect content: Posts, comments, messages, reports, Lost & Found details, service reviews, and other content you submit.
- Location information: Precise or approximate location when you grant permission, plus locations you manually enter for Lost & Found and nearby service features.
- Subscription information: Product, entitlement, transaction, renewal, and store identifiers used to confirm Furbuz Pro access. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple or Google.
- Device and usage information: Device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, identifiers, diagnostics, crash data, and interactions with the Service and ads.
2. How we use information
- Provide pet care, reminder, analytics, messaging, Lost & Found, service discovery, and article features;
- Show nearby content when location access is enabled;
- Authenticate users, sync data, deliver notifications, and provide support;
- Validate Furbuz Pro purchases and restore subscription access;
- Show and measure light ads in Connect for Free users;
- Maintain safety, moderate content, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Apple or Google processes Furbuz Pro purchases under its own privacy policy. We use RevenueCat to receive and manage subscription status, product, transaction, store, and app-user identifiers so we can unlock and restore Pro features. RevenueCat does not provide us with your full payment-card details.
4. Advertising
Free users may see light ads in Connect. With your consent and where permitted by platform settings and applicable law, Google AdMob may personalize ads using device identifiers, IP address, general location derived from IP, ad interactions, and consent choices. If you do not consent or platform permission is unavailable, ads are non-personalized. Furbuz Pro removes ads from the app.
5. Location
With your permission, Furbuz uses location to surface nearby Lost & Found alerts and pet services and to attach a location when you choose to create relevant content. You can deny or revoke device location permission in system settings, though nearby features may be limited. Content you publish with a location may reveal that location to other users.
6. How we share information
We may share information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, storage, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, moderation, customer support, advertising, and subscription management. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.
Posts, comments, profile details, Lost & Found listings, service reviews, and other content you choose to publish may be visible to other users. Direct messages are shared with their recipients.
7. Data retention and security
We retain information while needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain safety. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can update profile information, control device permissions and notifications, review advertising privacy choices where available, manage app-store subscriptions, and request account deletion from the app. On iOS, you can change tracking permission in system settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information. Contact us to exercise an applicable right.
For step-by-step deletion instructions, grace-period details, and retention information, see Delete Your Account. Deleting a Furbuz account does not automatically cancel a Furbuz Pro subscription; subscription cancellation must be completed through Apple or Google.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
10. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when required by law.
12. Contact
